Imagine being chained to a tree year after year. You watch the back door hoping someone will come out to play with you. No one ever does. You long to run and stretch your legs, but all you can do is pace over your small patch of packed dirt. Sometimes you get tangled in your chain. You shiver in the winter and pant in the hot summer sun. Fleas biting your skin are a constant torture. Eventually, you stop barking. You have given up hope.
Humans have lots of ways to entertain ourselves: movies, video games, shopping, television. Your dog only has YOU. Your dog is depending on you to make his life a good one or a terrible one. His fate is in your hands. If you can't give your dog a happy life, should you even have a dog?

An artist in Sweden likes to kill animals (and we're not talking about just the ones we may eat, but domestic house pets), mutilates them and then takes photographs of them. All for a picture.
If you care about animals AT ALL.
There's an artist, Nathalia Edenmont, who kills cats, mice, doves, rabbits, and other animals, mutilates their bodies, and then takes their photographs. She's on exhibit, among other places, at the Wetterling Gallery in Sweden. She has taken the top halves of five white mice and made them into finger puppets. She beat a cat to death with a stick. And this is called art. This is not only inhumane, but morally reprehensible.
